Dolly is an absolute dream of a pony. Standing at 13.3 hh she is a suitable ride for lightweight adults as well as children, and can do anything from lead rein to jumping and hacking - she has not been known to spook! See below winning first place in the Potential Competition Horse or Pony class at the Limebrook Good Friday Show 2006.
Dolly, along with his friends Jess and Albert were purchased from a riding school in Epping which closed down in 2005. The ponies were only used to being ridden in a very small school, and had never had to do proper schooling exercises before. Hence the reason why they didn't initially see the point of circles!
Dolly is 15 years old, and is a sweet mare. She has a great jump on her, and can be an exciting ride for advanced riders as well as a great first ride for the complete novice!
When the riding school closed she was put on loan, and Charlotte took her on. Charlotte has been doing tremendous things with her, winning lots of rosettes at local shows. Dolly has the tendency to take a wrong lead leg on one rein, but Charlotte is working very hard to cure her of this habit. Charlotte is a great little rider, and she and Dolly are a great partnership together!
