 Post subject: disabled riders welcome??

hi there, my name is clair and i have two disabled children. they are autistic. my daughter always enjoyed riding when she was younger, but gave it up for a few years due to ill health but now has been riding again for the last year with a group from her school. due to and unfortunate insident the group will not be riding at the school and i was wondering where anyone would recomend kind and understanding stables and people where we could ride? i dont mind helping anywhere i can i kept horses as a kid and worked as a groom some time ago for point to point race horses. im no expert but i am used to being around them. any suggestions on a friendly stables and people who dont mind a difficult teenager, would be willing to help out with anyone and of course pay. i am in maldon

Hi clair
The only place I know of that is specifically for disabled riders is Barrow farm not sure of where it is but you should find it if you google it.

I know when we were a riding school we excepted autistic riders, so some of the local riding school may be able to provide lessons.

Try tiptree equestrian centre, they have a good reputation and and fairly local to maldon.

also try Pied Horse, they are in Chelmsford. if you google piedhorse you will see website.
