Halloween 2005
Halloween - we all expect ghouls, goblins, witches and devils to abound at this time of year, but don’t often expect them to be riding on horseback!  But that was the scene at Limebrook Farm Riding School on Monday 31st October this year when a very special riding lesson took place - the only pre-requisite was that the riders (and horses!) needed to be dressed for the occasion.

The lesson was eventful, with high spirits all around and a great deal of fun was had by everyone.   The lesson was taught by a Mummy, and the class included witches, devils,  a pumpkin, a wizard, a ghost and vampire!  As an unusual twist on normal riding lessons, the riders had to act like witches, bats, ghosts and pumpkins while cantering around the arena - and even while going over the jumps!  The games got more complicated as the riders were told to act out their costumes while going over a jump, and at the same time singing a song from a horror movie - or saying a well known line!

Although there were capes flapping around, lights flashing as well as a lot of screaming and blood curdling shrieks all horses were perfectly behaved and seemed to be having as much fun as the riders.  Prizes were given for the best costume and the loudest werewolf impression and for just taking part!  The event was enjoyed by spectators as much as the participants.  All who were present would like to thank Clare for making the evening such a howling success!
